Mohsen K. Shahegh (Mr. Shah)

Our precious Daddy and Papa found peace on February 13, 2018, at the age of 86. He was surrounded by family and loved ones at his home in Russellville and will be forever remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Born in Tehran, Iran he immigrated to the United State in 1952 for higher education. He was a graduate of the University of the Ozarks with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration & Management. A life-long restaurateur, he built and owned Sha's Restaurant in Russellville for 13 years. He was the state and national president of the National Restaurant Association and a devoted member of the Russellville Chamber of Commerce. He loved spending time with his family, debating politics, and watching the Razorbacks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kasem and Talett Kazemi Shahegh; two brothers, Hossien Shahegh, Hassan Shahegh and two sisters, Heshmat Shahegh and Monir Aryan. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Gloria Shahegh of Russellville; a sister Mahvash Shahehgh of Clarksville, MD; children, Marcy Hampton of London, AR, Ariana Langford of Russellville, Melody (Fred)  Kouchehbagh of Fayettville, Jahan Shahegh of Lawrence, KS; Grandchildren, Shane Hampton, Blake Hampton, Brittany Harben, Brooke Freemyer, Breana Brewer, Hannah Kouchehbagh and  nine great grandchildren, Elisabeth, Emma Shane, Noah, Moses, Rooke, Job, John Cade, Everlee, and Grayson.

He remains a gentle soul, beloved by his family and all those who knew him.

A family conducted memorial service will be held later.
