Obituary

Monroe Garner age 94 of Mitchell's Nursing Home passed away Sunday May 15, 2022 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville.

Monroe was born August 10, 1927 in Tate Town, Arkansas to the late Ace and Ida Woodard Garner. He was a member and retired minister of the Pentecostal Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Betty Jo Hunt Garner; parents; brothers, Velo, Acelo, Jethel and Buck Garner; sisters, Rosie Limbocker, Mina Jane Hunt; and grandson, Zachary Garner.

Survivors include his daughter, Joyce & Robert Evans of Bluffton; sons, Larry Garner of Ranger; James & Brenda Garner of Dardanelle; Rex & Theresa Garner of Mabelvale; Mitch & Evelyn Garner of Springfield; and 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister, Lillie Yandell of Havana; sister-in-law Delores Garner of Booneville; good friend and roommate, Robert Scroggins and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Earl Ladd Cemetery with Bro. Donny Wagner officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the funeral home.
