Mozelle Mills Gist 82 of Danville passed away Friday, June 19, 2015. She was born September 7, 1932 in Mt. George, Arkansas to the late Henry Harrison and Nora Lee (Clinger) Mills. She was a line worker at Petit Jean Poultry. She was baptized by her nephew Rev. Vinson in the Arkansas River. She was a member of the Gateway Pentecostal Church in Russellville. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bobby Wayne Gist; brothers, Lawrence Mills, Herbert Mills, sisters, Betty Joy Robinson, Modean Vinson; two sons-in-law, Patrick Becker, Larry Abell; and a daughter-in-law, George Ann Gist. Survivors include a son, Elmer, Jr. and Judy Moore-Gist of Goodview, Virginia; daughters, Betty Abell of Mt. Washington, Kentucky and Francis Shartel of Belleville; eight grandchildren, Robert Gist, Sonja Therrian, Christine Gist, Lori Shockley, Matthew Gist, Kathy Firestone, Bobby Gist, and Nathan Gist; ten great-grandchildren, , Reilly, Landen, Rikki, Alex, and Cody Gist, Amanda Faye and Ashley Therrian, Donald and Steven Heathman, and Hayden Firestone; brother, Henry Mills; sisters-in-law; Geraldine and Pauline; brother-in-law, Melvin Vinson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2015, at Mt. George Church of Christ with Rev. Jerry Lynn Vinson officiating. Burial will be at Dacus Cemetery, Mt. George.
