Murel Wayne Day age 82 of Belleville passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at his home.

Murel was born February 2, 1936 in Corley, Arkansas to the late Roy & Emma Rich Day.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Belinda Day; sister, Louetta Day and brother, Earl Day.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Walcie Mae George Day; sons, Lindle Day (Susan) of Belleville; James Day (Elaine) of Adona; daughter, Murelena "Pebbles" Reece of Dardanelle; grandchildren, Anthony (Ashley) Day; Sean (Amanda) Day; Mary (Sam) Eakens; James (Sherry) Morrell; Cloyal (Brittany) Krigbaum; Brooklyn Day; Dustin Day; Almond (Kevin) Robinson; Jennifer (Joseph) Derryberry; Bobby (Phang) Soundara; Toby Soundara; Morgan Reece; George Reece; great-grandchildren, Austin, Ayden, Sabryna, Bryson, Raylee, Benton, Tristan, Preston, Michael, Breanna, James, Katie, Kase, Klayton, Hunter, James, Jasmine, Bree-Ann and Allie; several nephews, nieces and beloved friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday, October 29, 2018 at Grace Baptist Church in Belleville with Bro Jim Duncan officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday, October 28, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Havana Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. William Berry' Dr. John Westwood, Dr. Vasili Lendel, Dr. Carl Schoenberger, Dr. Chuck Wilson, Cindy Day, Mikelynn Honaker and the staff of Chambers Memorial Home Health, the staff of LinCare and Cornwell Funeral Home.
