January 10, 1953 – February 12, 2023
Myong Za Hasty age 70 passed to her eternal rest, February 12, 2023. She was born January 10, 1953, in Seoul, South Korea, to her parents: Ho Yung (father) and Cha PokSe (mother). Her siblings are: Yun Ha, Yun Ju, Yun Soo, Yun Yung, and Myong He.
Myong is survived by her husband of 42 years: James (Jim) Hasty of Russellville; four children: daughter Angela Michelle of Hot Springs, daughter Jessica Gibson (husband Chris) of Newtown CT, daughter Elizabeth James (husband Cole) of Lake Jackson TX, and son Joshua J Hasty of Russellville; ten grandchildren: Paige Haney, Lauren Orr, Trent Baker, Dean Orr, Alexander Gibson, Nicholas Gibson, Kaylee James, McKinlee James, Parker James, Lucy James; and two great-grandchildren: Avery Lorenz and Augustus Harper.
Myong's family was the light of her life, and she loved on them constantly, including her beloved little Bella (a toy poodle). She was a good seamstress and cook, loved to keep a beautiful home full of pictures and photos of her family that was always meticulously clean. She was a faithful and devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a caring sister, a dutiful daughter, a cheerful friend to anyone who knew her, and a faithful child of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Always serving others, she rarely had time for herself, but whenever possible, she enjoyed camping and traveling.
All services to be held at the First Baptist Church, 303 W. Pennington St., Ola, Arkansas, Bro. Danny Green presiding, coordinated with Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle AR. Visitation, Thursday, Feb 16, 5-7 PM: Funeral service, Friday Feb 17, 2-3PM, immediately followed by gravesite service at Sandlin Cemetery, Ola. The First Baptist Church is providing a meal to the family members (12:00 - 1:30.)
Pallbearers are: Nathan Ridenour, Cole James, Chris Gibson, Trent Baker, Jerry Orr, Tre Harper, Dalton Lorenz.
