Jewel 'Nadine' Virden, age 82, of London, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Arkansas River Valley Hospice.
She was born April 11,1939, in Dover, Arkansas, to Saffrona and Luke Hickey.

Nadine previously worked in the cafeteria at Arkansas Nuclear One before retiring to spend more time with her grandchildren. She loved gardening, plants, animals, and reading. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, James Hickey, Doan Hickey, and Artie Hickey.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Janie Avants; son, David Virden; her grandchildren, Katelyn Fink Thompson, Lindsey and Josh Williams, Hope Virden, Hannah Fink, and Seth Virden; her great-grandchildren, Connor, Nora, and Lucas; her nephew, Donnie Hickey; and her sister Ruby LaRue.
