Nancy Ann Brown, 94, of Russellville, Arkansas, transitioned from this life on June 28, 2026, at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Nancy was born on January 27, 1932, in Dardanelle, Arkansas, to Everette Dwight Callan and Zanthia Zenobia Rhine d’LeMoyne Callan. She spent her early years in the Dardanelle area before living in several states across the South and West. She eventually made Cincinnati, Ohio, her home, where she lived for over 40 years before returning to Dardanelle in 2016.

She dedicated her professional life to nursing, a career that reflected her natural compassion and desire to care for others. While working full time and raising her children, she continued her education and earned a Bachelor of Science degree, a reflection of her strong work ethic and perseverance. Nancy had a love for adventure and travel, always eager to explore new places and experience something new. Though she was kind and sometimes quiet at first, those who knew her well discovered her spirited personality, wonderful sense of humor, and the spark that made her unique. She also had a deep love for animals and never turned away from one in need.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe Ed Courtney and Gordon Edward Brown; her son, Gordon Edward Brown Jr.; her parents, Everette Dwight Callan and Zanthia Zenobia Rhine d’LeMoyne Callan; her brother, Everette Dwight Callan Jr.; her grandsons Derek Logan Bunting and Michael Daugherty; and her son-in-law, John Logan Daugherty.

She is survived by her daughters, Crystal Ann Courtney-Brown, Elizabeth Kay Daugherty, and Barbara Jo Boyne (Timothy).

She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Danny Lynn Bunting, Dustin Lee Bunting (Brittney), Courtney Kay Kinder (Kai), Jamie Daugherty (Lisa), Pierce Edward Boyne (Amy), Anna MacKenzie Boyne (Olaf), Evan Robert Boyne (Rachael), Joshua Saylors (Casey), and Maxwell Rankin. Nancy was blessed with numerous great-grand children: Drew Bunting, Cecilia Bunting, Daxton Bunting, Mercy Bunting, Dexter Bunting, Dalton Bunting, Sarah McKeown, Audrey Boyne, Patrick Boyne, Oliver Scott, Boston Charles Boyne, Riley Saylors, Tyler Saylors, Peighton Saylors, and Lane Saylors.

She is also survived by her great-great-grandchildren: Jude McKeown and Rowan McKeown, along with many extended family members and dear friends, including Kenny and Carol George, Scarlett and Bill Lancaster, Scott and Amanda George and Rush and Carrie Cornwell.

Nancy will be remembered for her compassionate heart, dedication to caring for others, and the many lives she touched throughout her years as a nurse, mother, and friend. Her adventurous spirit, love of animals, kindness, humor, and devotion to family will remain cherished memories for all who knew and loved her.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Connie Biggs, Ellen Lee, Amber Lee, Dr. Allan K. Kirkland, and the compassionate staffs of Hospice Home Care of Russellville, Dardanelle Nursing and Rehabilitation, Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Legacy Heights Nursing Home. Their exceptional care, kindness, and compassion will always be remembered with heartfelt appreciation.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, 9:00A.M. to 10:00A.M. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. Funeral services will follow at 10:00A.M. at the chapel. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Danny Lynn Bunting, Dusty Lee Bunting, Pierce Boyne, Evan Boyne, Joshua Saylors, Jamie Daugherty, Drew Bunting, and Rush Cornwell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott George, Kai Kinder, Eli Stroe and Bill Lancaster.
