Opal Leaverna Hankins age 92 of Danville formerly of Rochelle, IL passed away June 21, 2014 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born April 3, 1922 in Vanndale, AR to the late Ophus Ladell & Rhonda Ellen Patterson Williams. She was a mother, homemaker, factory worker and a member of the Rochelle First Baptist Church. She was preceded in by her parents; father of her children, Ivon Hankins; sons Jimmy, Kenneth, Stephen Hankins; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law, Jerry & Scharlsey Hankins of Batesville, MS; Timothy & Melinda Hankins of Buncombe IL; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Centerville Assembly of God church with Rev. Jeremy Bull and Rev. William Fynn officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Centerville Assembly of God Church. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Friday June 27, at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle IL. Pallbearers include Jerry Hankins, Matthew Hankins, John Schaeffer, Wendell Schaeffer, and Chris Jewell. Honorary Pallbearers include her great-great-grandchildren Jalyn Bull, Jaycie Bull, Jeron Bull, Lauren Schaeffer, Lucas Schaeffer, Kylie Hankins, Khloe Hankins and Neveah Hankins.
