Opal LaDon Horn age 73 of Danville passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville.

Opal was born September 30, 1949 in Danville, Arkansas to the late Opal Tobe & Anna Lea Hudson Horn. He was a member of Egypt Freewill Baptist Church in Blue Ball. He was a deacon of the church for 13 years. Opal was retired from Mahle Corporation.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed listening to his running dogs. His most valued and precious times were serving his Lord, alongside his wife Marilyn of 53 years and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Marilyn Kay Hunt Horn; daughter, Lori and Mark Green of Plainview; son Wesley and Brittney Horn of Danville; brother, Lewis & Deborah Horn of Danville; sisters, Patsy Howell of Danville and Linda Gunter of Dover; grandchildren, Kaylea & Billy Chrisman, Jaycee Green, Noah Green, Tyler Horn, Haylea Horn and Caleb Escue.

A celebration of life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Egypt Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Tom Garrison, Rev. Delbert Hunt, Rev. Ricky Hunt and Bro. Noah Green officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, July 14, at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Hunt Cemetery in Tatetown.

Pallbearers include Lewis Horn, Billy Chrisman, Wesley Horn, Tyler Horn, Caleb Escue and Noah Green.

Honorary pallbearers include Nathan McMellon, D.A. Laster, Virgil Lee Wilkins, Lonnie Apple and Lewis James.
