Opal Lee Nelms age 84 of Havana passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Mitchells Nursing Home.

She was born August 29, 1936 in Bradley County, Arkansas to the late Ezra Quince & Audrey Ellen Nixon Whittington. She was a homemaker, she attended the Waveland Community Church and she was a member of the Waveland EH Club for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle David Nelms; parents; brothers, Willis and James Whittington; and sister Linda Jestice.

Survivors include her nieces, Penny & Jason Smith; Sherry & Aaron Albright all of Havana; and numerous other nephews and nieces.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Waveland Community Church. Burial will be at Shott Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Jason Smith, Aaron Albright, Cody West, Justin Crites, Marcus Nichols and Jordan Tinnin.
