Opal Irene Rector age 78 of Greenwood passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Pink Bud Nursing Home Center in Greenwood.

Opal was born November 26, 1942 in Sugar Grove, Arkansas to the late Arzeal & Julie Marie Yarber Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arnold Smith; sisters, Emma Wilkins, Sandra Walker, and Janice Smith.

Survivors include her children, Bob Nelms; Stella Bird both of Waveland; and Dianna Nelms of Russellville; brothers, Buster Smith, Charlie Smith, Billy Smith, Thomas Smith, Bobby Smith and Glynn Smith all of Booneville; Mary Ramirez of Van Buren; grandchildren, Bobby Potter, Caitlin Green, Cori Wright, Allen Leonard, Steven Cline, Dillon Nelms and Christian Nelms; several great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
