In Loving Memory of Ophelia “Pat” Owen
Ophelia Owen, beloved mother, granny, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026 at the age of 92. Born on April 20, 1934 in Beebe, Arkansas, she lived a life defined by love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved. Her wisdom, strength, and gentle spirit touched countless lives and will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She possessed a remarkable gift for caring for little ones, and countless children were blessed by her patience, kindness, and gentle heart. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her family, especially her son and grandchildren, sharing stories, celebrating holidays and milestones, and simply enjoying everyday moments. To them she was a source of unconditional love, comfort, and laughter - a love that will remain with them forever.
She is survived by her son Michael Owen (Cindy); her favorite sister Sandy Koch; grandchildren, Courtney Freeman (Joey), Casey Owen (Cheryl) and Chance Owen; great-grandchildren, Georgia Owen-Spaght, Bella and Glenna Freeman, Deserae and Haley, great-great grandchildren, Briar, Kingston, and Emerie; and many other family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Roger Wayne Owen, parents George Oliaf Payne and Geneva Payne; brothers, Glen Payne, Sherman Payne, and Chester Payne; sisters, Dorothy Meeks, Margaret Belcher, Fay Hendrixson, and Connie Long. Pallbearers will be Michael Owen, Casey Owen, Chance Owen, Joey Freeman, Jeff Long, and Michael Koch.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the love she gave so freely and the memories we were blessed to share. Her legacy of compassion, grace, and steadfast love will continue through generations.
