Dovie Dodson Ora Dovie Dodson age 85 of Dardanelle died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born May 31, 1928 at Texarkana, AR to the late Michael David and Loutie Hopkins Elkins. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Overton, TX, a mother and a home maker, an Army wife for over 21 years and a ministers wife for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reverend Norman Odell Dodson; brothers, James, Gene, Fincher, Bill and Charles Elkins; sisters, Virginia Jewel and Ruth Ann Curtis. Survivors include one daughter, Martha Brodie and husband Oscar of Delaware; one son, Don Dodson and wife Kay of Russellville; one sister, Helen Hughes and husband William of Henderson, TX; one brother, Wayne Elkins and wife Janice of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Christina Roulston of Russellville, Donnie and Sarah Brodie of Delaware, Ronnie Brodie of Delaware, Chris and Sunnie Dodson of Russellville, Kelli and Adam Caudle of Fayetteville, Jenny Dodson of Springdale; six great grandchildren, Kristi Roulston, Clay Roulston, Katie Brodie, Breanna Brodie, Hallie Caudle, Delta Dodson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Wayne Elkins, Bro. Bob Freeman and Don Dodson officiating. Burial will be in Graves Cemetery in Delaware. Visitation will be held Monday, 5:00P.M. to 6:00P.M. at the chapel.
