Patricia Mae Pickens age 79 of Harvey passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.

Pat was born May 15, 1943 in Greenwood, Arkansas to the late LeRoy and Reba Johnson Shores. She was a member of the Gravelly United Methodist Church and a retired Teachers Aide at the Fourche Valley School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, and infant great- granddaughter.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years Joe Pickens; sons, Michael Pickens; Bradley & Tina Pickens all of Harvey; sister, Jerry & Mike Dawson of Natchitoches, LA.; brother, Donald Shores of Ada, OK.; brother-in-law, Jim & Cheryl Pickens of Danville; sisters-in-law, Kathy Pickens of Bluffton and Winnie Pickens of Danville; 4 grandkids: Brent Pickens, Seth Pickens, Jessica Pickens Sanford, and Ashley Pickens Oliver; 4 grandkids-n-law; 7 great-grandkids and 1 on the way; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Gravelly Methodist Church. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 16, at the funeral home in Danville. Burial will be at Monroe Cemetery in Harvey.

Pallbearers include Jim Roberson, Joe Dishongh, Brent Pickens, Seth Pickens, Tyler Oliver, Treavor Sanford, Reggie Trusty and Russell Hale.

Honorary pallbearers include Anthony Pickens, Russell Pickens, Roy Hodges, Danny Tarkington, Rod Rupe, Mark Dawson, Matt Dawson, Dave Harry, Randy McCafferty, and Allen Ray Austin.
