Patsy Marie
Potter
October 3, 1942 – June 30, 2025
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
~ Revelation 21:4
Patsy "Pat" Marie Potter, age 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025, at White River Medical Center, surrounded by her beloved children.
Born on October 3, 1942, in Aly, Arkansas, Pat was the eldest of ten children born to Burl and Lola (Ray) Potter. She was raised in a hardworking farming family that lived primarily in Arkansas and Oklahoma, and she took pride in her strong Cherokee and Muscogee (Creek) heritage. Alongside her four brothers and five sisters, Pat played an active role in farm life, learning the value of family, faith, and resilience.
Throughout her life, Pat held various jobs, but she found true joy in her work as a waitress, a role she loved because it allowed her to meet people, share stories, and brighten the days of those she served. She had a larger-than-life personality and enjoyed being the center of attention. Her presence filled every room, and her laughter was unforgettable.
In her youth, Pat loved to dance, play the piano, and spend time with her siblings and cousins. Whether sharing scripture, swapping stories, or just sitting on the front porch, she was happiest with a strong cup of coffee in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Her faith in the Lord was unwavering, and her greatest joy came from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was immensely proud of them and never missed an opportunity to brag on their accomplishments.
Her favorite pastimes included putting together puzzles, reading and listening to the Bible, watching classic Westerns, and filling her home with gospel music.
Pat is survived by her three children: sons Keith Wilkins and Randy Wilkins, and daughter Marie (Wilkins) Marotti and her husband Thomas. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, four sisters, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Burl and Lola Potter; her brothers Larry Potter and Lloyd Potter; and her sister Bonnie Potter.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Aly Union Community Church at 10018 Chula Rd, Plainview, AR, on Sunday, July 27 th from 1:30-3:30 pm.
