Patsy M. Summers, 65 of Dardanelle passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. She was born July 12, 1948 in Quitman, Texas to the late M.L. and Irene (Morgan) White. She recently retired from 18 years of employment with the state of Arkansas. She was a member of the Chickalah Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Summers loved quilting, knitting, reading, and spending time with her only granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Summers and parents, M.L. and Irene White. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Camille Hemmer; granddaughter, Samantha Hemmer all of Little Rock; sisters and brother-in-law, Glinda and Ronnie Carroll of Dardanelle, Julianne Johnston of Carthage, Texas; nephews, Stephen Carroll and his wife, Kathy of Dardanelle, Brent Carroll of Springdale. Pallbearers are Ryan Kirkland, Nolan Reed, Alex Reed, Tracy Fulton, Kenny Moore, and Scotty Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Pitts, Eugene Lewis, and Tommy Roberds. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Chickalah with Brother Mike Owens officiating. Interment will be at Brearley Cemetery, Dardanelle under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle.
