Obituary

Ann Broadbent Pauline Ann Broadbent age 75 of New Blaine formerly of Greeley, Colorado died Saturday, March 7 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. She was born January 11, 1940 in Manchester, England to the late Benjamin and Cara Mae Griesdale Sayers. She was a Poet Laureate and an honorary member of the Poet Laureate Society. She and her husband, Donald enjoyed traveling, having traveled around the world twice. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Donald Broadbent, son and daughter-in-law, David and Robin Broadbent of New Blaine, Arkansas; daughter, Susan Broadbent of Los Angles, California; sister, Margaret June Anderson of Delaware, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Cara-Mia Kobzeff, Kayla Kobzeff, Rebecca Megan Broadbent, Lauren Nicole Broadbent, Kelley Noel Broadbent, Steven Benjamin Broadbent, Monica Presley Broadbent and three great-grandchildren, Anastasia Rene, Elijah Jacob and Delilah Jade. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Scranton, Arkansas with the Rev. Franklin Pearce and Rev. Donald Irwin officiating. Interment will be in Elizabeth Hall Cemetery at New Blaine. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel, 5:00PM until 7:00PM. Pallbearers will be Steve Broadbent, Ian Mort, Norman Anderson, Aaron Swatzel, Richard Brunson and Jared Brunson. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.
