Obituary

Peggy George Black Coffman age 75 went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 30th 2013. Peggy was born on November 23rd 1937 in Russellville, Arkansas, to Robert (Jack) and Johnnie George. She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Lynn Black; sister Asilee George; brothers Franklin and bobby Jack George. Peggy is survived by sisters Carolyn Cook of Bernice, Louisiana; June McReynolds and Judy Emery of Ola, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews cousins and friends. Peggy had many trials and tribulations in her life, but she always found strength and inspiration in her God. Peggy wrote many poems during her life and even had a book of poems published. Peggy was a switchboard operator for Yell County Telephone for 5 years, a salesclerk at a department store in Illinois, a personal care aid for Area Agency on Aging, babysitter, Sunday school teacher and was president of the Ladies Missionary Society of the Ivy Heights Church of God in Wood River Illinois. Peggy was loved by many for her religious outlook, sense of humor, sassy attitude and fashion sense. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Mt. George Church of Christ with Chris George officiating. Burial will be at Mt. George Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2.at the funeral home.
