Peggy Dawson

Peggy Ann Johnson Dawson age 71 of Dardanelle passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Baptist Health North Little Rock. She was born December 13, 1946 at Newport, Arkansas to the late George C. and Izetta (Diffy) Love Johnson. She dedicated 35 plus years as secretary-treasurer to the family business, but her main interest was taking care of her family, which she did an outstanding job. She loved flowers, yard care and she enjoyed campouts and cookouts with family and friends. Through much pain and suffering in later years, she still enjoyed life. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Johnson and two nephews, Rick and Randy Lemons.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jerry Dawson Sr. of Dardanelle; two sons, Jerry Dawson Jr. and wife Kristie of Dardanelle, Steven Dawson of Plainview; four grandchildren, Allen, Summer (Adam), Jared, Bailey Jo (Jake); two sisters, Mary Foster of Alma, Shirley Malenshek of Kirby, sister-in-law, Helen Garner (Bob) of Chickalah; brother-in-law, Mark Dawson (Carla) of Conway and nieces, Laura Garret (Clint), Vicki Cole, Nicole Jackson and nephews, Mark, Michael and John Neely.

Memorial services will be held at 6:30P.M., Monday, October 1, 2018 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Andrew Adams and Bro. Joe Harrison of the Ola Seventh Day Adventist Church which she was a member. Visitation will be held Monday, 5:00P.M. to 6:30P.M. at the chapel prior to the service.
