Pepper Martin

Jimmy Reed Martin Sr. age 89 of Dardanelle died Monday, January 9, 2017 at Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock. He was born May 8, 1927 at Dardanelle to the late Roy J. and Cecil Davenport Martin. He was of the Baptist Faith, a retired Navy Veteran and a lifetime member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Martin and one brother, Roy (Buck) Martin.

Survivors include his children, Shelia Keatts of Mabelvale, Jimmy Reed Martin Jr and Patricia of Owasso, Oklahoma, Deborah and Jeff Hafner of Owasso, Oklahoma, Douglas Martin of Dardanelle; one sister, Dorothy (Sissy) Grace of McAlister, Oklahoma; one brother, Frank Martin of Little Rock; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, January 13, 2017 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Jim Benfer officiating. Burial will be private in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Friday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Martin, Doyle Claypool, Rance Claypool, Clay Claypool, Andy Thomas and Josh Buchanan.
