Phyllis Rush Phyllis Ann Rush age 77 of Dardanelle died Friday, December 9, 2011 with her family by her side at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. She was born September 4, 1934 at Shawnee, Oklahoma to the late William Houston and Norene Benson Giles. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Arkansas City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rex Richard Rush and her brother, Bud Giles. Survivors include her son, Brady Rush and wife Cindy of Clay City, Kansas; three daughters, Marki Briggs and husband Larry of Havertown, Pennsylvania, Sally Byers and husband Rick of Dardanelle and Amy Rush of Lawrence, Kansas; one sister, Libby Smith and husband Glen of Dundee, Illinois; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. The family will hold a private Memorial Service in Arkansas City, Kansas in the spring. The family wishes to send a special thanks to the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home and its staff for the great and loving care given to Phyllis and her husband Rex during their time of need.
