Polly Joyce Benefield, 78, of Russellville, went to be with the Lord Monday, August 24, 2015 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. The daughter of Venus and Doris (Stanley) George, she was born May 26, 1937 in Dardanelle. She was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Russellville. She was proceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Patricia George of Dardanelle, Phyllis Niblock and husband, George of Little Rock; one brother, George (Buddy) George of California; one daughter, Beth George of Dardanelle; one son, Phillip Benefield; and one grandson, Casey George of Dardanelle. Survivors include one daughter, Celeste Bell and husband, Kenny of Russellville; one sister, Penny Murdaugh and husband, Charles of Houston, Texas; one sister-in-law, Patricia George of California; one grandson, Dusty George and wife, Lizza of Dardanelle; one granddaughter, Janelle Cruz and husband, Adrian of California; great grandchildren, Hallie George, Clara George, Casey-Beth George, Max Cruz, Matthew Cruz; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle. Reverend Greg Sykes will officiate. Burial will be at Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Visitation will be from 1:00PM-2:00PM, on Thursday, at the Chapel prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Kenny Bell, Dusty George, Jess George, Greg Niblock, Jason Irwin and Cody Chavers.
