Rachel Imogene Mitchell age 91 of Danville passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Mitchells Nursing Home.

Imogene Mitchell was born February 23, 1932 in Hale Town, Arkansas to the late Edgar & Bessie Wade Hale. She was a member of the Waltreak Methodist Church and a mother and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoover Mitchell; parents; sisters, Mary Hewes, Edna Ingram, and Lila Rooke James; brother, Don Hale.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen & James Eaglebull of Lewisville, TX.; son, Jim Mitchell of Danville; step-son, Richie Kent "Pepper" & Janice Mitchell of Waldron; sister, Sharon Sue Hackworth of Waldron; brother, Jake Hale of Bonneville; Wendell Hale of Waldron; Wayne & Judy Hale of Waldron; Charles Hale of Waldron; and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Waltreak Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Pat Millard, Rev. Dennis Horn and Bro. Patrick Millard officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 24, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Earl Ladd Cemetery.

Pallbearers include David Hackworth, Corwin Hackworth, Allen James, Adam Hale, Caleb Hale and Randall Hale.
