Rebecca Lea
Davis
March 26, 1957 – July 27, 2025
Rebecca (Bky) Lea Davis, 68, of Scottsville, Arkansas, passed peacefully on July 27th, 2025, leaving behind a world that is undoubtedly dimmer without her light in it. To know Bky was to be known — truly, deeply, and unconditionally. She made life better just by being in the room, and those lucky enough to be loved by her will never be the same.
Bky was a hugger, a listener, and a champion of everyone around her. She could deep fry a leather boot and somehow make it taste good. She had an unmatched sense of humor and a love for dumb jokes, though her sharp wit always kept you on your toes. Her days were often filled with John Prine and John Denver playing in the background, a baseball game she was "only half-watching" on the TV, and maybe a rerun of Yellowstone or a dusty old Western.
Her heart beat in pale pink, in shared laughter, in small acts of kindness that left deep impressions. She was a hippie at heart, a fierce protector of the Earth, an animal lover, and a proud advocate for Smoky the Bear. In her incredible life, she wore many hats: canoeing instructor, competitive archer with a state record, lifelong nurturer, National campground host of the year, and second mom to more people than one could count. Her love was expansive and welcoming — biological ties were never a prerequisite to being part of her heart.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Kelly Davis; her daughters, Denise (Bobby) Wright of Bentonville, and Sierra (Chris) Mitchell of Russellville; her grandchildren, Adelyn and Parker Wright; her brother Terry Brown of Mena; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and "chosen" children and grandchildren who she loved as her own. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Rheba Brown of Mena, as well as grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
The world is undeniably quieter now without her voice, her laughter, her comfort. But the love she gave — freely and fully — will echo in all of us forever. Her light doesn't go out; it just lives on in a thousand hearts.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd from 5:00–7:00 PM at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle. Her funeral service will take place on Monday, August 4th at 10:00 AM, also at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery in Mena, where she will be laid to rest among family. Flowers are welcome, or donations can be made to help with funeral costs at Chambers Bank, Account #9498
The family would like to give a special thank you to everyone at Stella Manor Nursing & Rehab for the care and love they gave her in her last months here on earth. Their over-and-beyond care meant the world to her, and to our family."
