Rebecca Evelyn Jones, age 97, of Sallisaw, OK, passed away on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith.

She was born May 28, 1920 in Belleville, AR, to the late Robert A. & Sara Elizabeth Kirkwood White. Rebecca worked for the Selective Service System for 22 years. She was a member of the Sallisaw First Baptist Church, Fidelia Sunday School Class, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, American Legion Auxilary, Redbud Garden Club, Ohea Extension Club, Red Hat Society, The Caring Hearts, and a Charter Member of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Herbert Hugh "Skeet" Jones.

Survivors include her son, Bobby Jones and wife Kay, of Broken Arrow, OK; daughter, LaDonne Jones, of Sallisaw, OK; granddaughter, Abbie Hatfield and husband Sam, of Shawnee, OK; grandson, Robert Jones, of Tulsa, OK; and granddaughter, Morgan Jones, of West Hartford, CT.; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Paige Hatfield of Shawnee, OK.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at the Upper Spring Creek Free Will Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 1-2 p..m., before the service.

Pallbearers include Bob Staton, Jimmy Staton, Sam Hatfield, Robert Jones, and Honorary Pallbearer, Jim Hugh White.
