Rex Rush

Rex Richard Rush age 79 of Dardanelle formerly of Bay City, Texas died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his home. He was born August 8, 1931 at Arkansas City, Kansas to the late Warren and Marie Kennedy Rush. He retired from Apco Oil Company in Arkansas City, Kansas and from Aramco Oil Company in Saudi Arabia. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Arkansas City, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Phyllis Rush of Dardanelle; one son Brady Rush and wife Cindy of Clay Center, Kansas; three daughters, Marki Briggs and husband Larry of Havertown, Pennsylvania, Sally Byers and husband Rick of Dardanelle and Amy Rush of Lawrence, Kansas; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in Arkansas City, Kansas at a later date.
