Obituary

Charles Rex Tate age 89 of Booneville, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his home.

He was born February 22, 1928 in Blair, Oklahoma to the late Charles and Ina Powers Tate. He served in the U.S. Navy and  was a retired professional truck driver, and owner operator for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and mother of his children Marilyn; brother, John Tate.

Survivors include his wife Twilah June; daughters, Stacie Roddy (wally) of Montana, Sharlene "Bubba" Woodard (Mike) of Danville, step son, Dr. Lance Phillips (Dr. Ann Roland) of Missouri; sister, Betty Parrish of Dardanelle; brother, Fred Tate (Valera) of Conway; grandchildren; Brittany Blanenship (Todd), Zach Tate (Krista), Callie Kimball (Daniel); step grandchildren, Elaine Phillips and Dr. Kevin Phillips (Sarah); six great grandchildren; A special great nephew, Rock Joseph Burrows and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2 pm Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Courtney officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Monday at the Danville Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Moss Creek Cemetery in Danville.

Pallbearers include, Mike Parrish, Ron Ford, Bob Murphy, Zach Tate, John Tate and Lance Phillips.

Honorary Pallbearers are Pokie Gilbert, Ed Page, Robert Buford, Woodrow Wood, Robert Smith, Harold Blalock and Dr. John Westwood.
