Rheba Pettycord Eddy died April 24, 2023 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville, Arkansas.
She was born May 23, 1916 to Alexander and Mollie Mathis Pettycord near Hector, Arkansas. She married George E. Eddy on September 24, 1940.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Willie, Odus, and Clyde Pettycord; two sisters, Ruby Millsap and Hattie Pettycord; a son-in-law, Joe A. Cathey; two step-sons, Kenneth and Bill Eddy and a step-daughter, Lavada Hendickson.
She is survived by a daughter Joyce Cathey; a grandson, Shawn (Jan) Cathey; two great-grandsons, Grant (Amanda) and Trent (Maddie) Cathey and two great-great-grandsons, Jaxson and Knox Cathey all of Danville Arkansas. She is also survived by eight step-grandchildren, and many step-great and great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are serval nieces and nephew.
Rheba was member of the Danville Church of Christ where she served faithfully for many years. She enjoyed the Leon Millsap Senior Center where she spent many hours volunteering as a quilter.
Funeral service will be 1:30 pm Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Danville Church of Christ with Mr. Ralph Weinhold officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the church before the service. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will include, Shawn Cathey, Grant Cathey, Trent Cathey, Brody Ramey and Bruce Ramey
