Richard Garry Bright

Richard Garry Bright, 59, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away on February 14, 2026.

Richard was born on November 5, 1966, to Janet Lockett and Bill Bright. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Bright, and his sister-in-law, Suzanne Bright.

He is survived by his mother, Janet Lockett; his daughter, Justine Valdez; his beloved grandchildren, Trinity and Samuel; his brother, Russell Bright (Paula); his sisters, Karie Turney (Allen) and Amy Jones (Adam); step mother, Martha Bright; along with extended family members and many dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Richard was known for his big personality and his deep love for his family and friends. In his younger days, he enjoyed rodeoing and riding bulls. He also enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and the Arkansas Razorbacks and was always ready to talk about the latest game. Most of all, Richard made sure the people he loved knew it and he never let you leave without saying, "I love you."

His laughter, loyalty, and the love he so freely gave will be cherished forever.

Memorial service will be at Dardanelle Church of Christ Monday February 16, 2026 at 2:00pm.
