Rickey Gene Emerson, age 64 of Dardanelle went to be with his Savior Tuesday, March 5, 2024. He was born December 18, 1959 in Clinton, Arkansas to Carlos Emerson and Carolyn McEntire Emerson. He was a Master Mason, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Arkansas Wildlife Association. He was a law enforcement officer and a volunteer fire fighter before he retired. Rickey was intelligent and skilled at repairing anything. He loved to hunt, fish, work with wood, horses and the rodeo. His favorite place was Lamar Valley in Yellowstone and anywhere his grandkids were. Rickey was of the Baptist faith and would tell you about his Jesus any chance he got. Rickey was preceded in death by his father, Carlos; his father-in-law, Hollis McEntire and his grandson, Jake Hensley.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Thelma Jane Emerson of Dardanelle; two children, Kate Riggs (Erick) of Dover, Sarah Hensley (Jimbo) of Cleveland; mother, Carolyn of Dardanelle; one brother, Jimmy Emerson; two sisters, Carol Collins (Clyde), Maranda Moore (Scott); five grandchildren, JoAnna Young (Zach), Samantha Riggs (fiance Daniel Garcia), Drake Riggs and Joseph Hensley; eight great grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his mother-in-law, Jane McEntire, and brother-in-law, Ray McEntire (Norma).

Funeral services will be held at 1:00P.M., Friday, March 8, 2024 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Michael Emerson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, 12:00P.M. to 1:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Burial with Masonic Rites will be held in Alread Cemetery in Alread.

Pallbearers will be Brian Coleman, Brandon Coleman, Jacob Moore, Ethan Bishop, Jarrod Hughes, Isaiah Missey and Scott Collins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Calvin Lee Reed, Jimbo Emerson, Reick Riggs, Scott Moore, Clyde Collins, Marshall McEntire, Preston McEntire and Cecil McEntire.

The family would like to express a special thanks to DaVita for their special care given to Rickey. Especially, Dr. Shaver and Nurse Patty Owens.
