Rickey "Rick" Howard Raney, age 70 of Rose Creek, AR passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 29 ^th , 1952, in Rose Creek to his beloved parents Vester and Nettie (Hubbard) Raney.

Rick was a member of the United States National Guard and the United States Army. He retired after many years as a carpenter with Arkansas State Parks and Tourism. He was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and the Perry County Fox Hunters Association. He enjoyed running his dogs, hunting, and old westerns but above all, he loved visiting and laughing with friends and family. He had an amazing sense of humor and we will miss all of his funny stories.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean (Olson) Raney; two children, Steve Raney (Kristin) of Rose Creek, AR and Christie Proctor (Dale) of Hector, AR; two stepchildren Michael Olson of Las Vegas, NV and Monique Deal (Bobby) of Dardanelle, AR; two sisters, Sheila Neal (AB Hundley) and Kim Neal; five grandchildren, Lauren Raney, Heather Proctor, Logan Raney, Brayden Proctor, and Lindley Raney; two great-grandchildren, Aiden Raney and Jackson Keeling, along with many other loved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vester and Nettie.

There will be a memorial service at Welcome Home Baptist Church, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Bro. John Williams officiating.
