Bobby Balloun Robert F. (Bobby) Balloun age 77 of Dardanelle died Sunday, January 6, 2012 at River Valley Medical Center. He was born December 14, 1935 at Dardanelle to the late Frank and Mary Klober Balloun. He was a 1953 graduate of Dardanelle High School and he attended Arkansas A&M College. He was a lifelong resident of Dardanelle and a descendant of the Czech Community, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dardanelle and the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class. He was a longtime cattle farmer who was loved by everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Venoda Bartlett Balloun and a nephew, John David Ray. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Kathleen Hicks Balloun; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kelly Balloun; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Jeff Cheatham all of Dardanelle; sister, Barbara Ray; grandchildren and spouses, Jessica Cheek and husband Jonathan, Jeremy Cheatham, Seth Balloun, Jennifer Edwards and husband Joe, Tyler Balloun; great grandchildren, Eli Edwards, Presley Cheek and many other nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 10:00A.M., Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Dardanelle with Rev. Jim Benfer officiating. A private burial will follow. Visitation will be open Tuesday, 10:00A.M. to 5:00P.M. and Wednesday, 8:00A.M. to 9:30A.M. at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Frank Ray, Jeffrey Ray, Greg Bartlett, Rowdy Bartlett, Rick Farnam, Lynn Balloun. Honorary Pallbearer is Paul Bartlett.
