Bob Gassaway

Robert "Bob" Calvin Gassaway, Sr. age 65 of Plainview went to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Russellville. He was born August 1, 1950 at Pueblo, Colorado to the late Elmer and Gloria Kennedy Gassaway. He was a Carpenter and served in the Army National Guard. Bob had a passion for the outdoors and was a member of the Onyx Trail Hunting Club. He loved duck hunting, deer hunting, fishing, making knives, gardening and riding the highways on his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by parents.

Survivors include his wife, Carla Forrest Gassaway of Plainview; two sons, Robert "Bobby" Gassaway, Jr (Laura) of Maumelle and Johnathan Gassaway (Julie) of Benton; two stepchildren, Justin Lancaster (Amanda) of Plainview and Jamie McEwen (Aaron) of Nimrod; two brothers, Steven Gassaway (Rhonda) of Beaver and Eddie Gassaway of Holiday Island; six grandchildren, Sam, Evan, Ben, Will, Gage and Jude Gassaway; six step grandchildren, Hayley Ferguson, Abby and Ally Shelnut, Brooklyn and Ashton Lancaster and Aiden McEwen.

Bob's wishes were to be cremated and for all his arrangements to be private. In lieu of flowers, the family has created a webpage for memorial donations to be made to Ducks Unlimited in memory of Bob and his love of duck hunting. http://www.ducks.org/tributes/BobGassaway
