Robert Carroll Gateley age 82 of Kingston passed away June 17, 2018 at Chambers Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 5, 1935 in Kingston, Arkansas, to the late Paul Vernon & Miriam Sandlin Gateley. He served with the U.S. Army, Korean War Veteran. He was a graduate of University of Arkansas with a degree in engineering in1962. Robert worked for Caterpillar Corporation in Marketing in Peoria, Illinois. Vice President of Translift (Forklift) in Chicago. He continued his career at Mustang Caterpillar Dealership in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne and Harold Gateley.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Charlene Gateley; children, James & Jo Dell Gateley of Centerville; Lynn & Tom Ackley of Kingston; Jonathan & Jocelyn Gateley of Livonia, MI; sisters, Nina Fisher of Russellville; Denise Robison of Duvall, WA; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Thursday, June 21, at the funeral home in Danville.
