Robert Gene Hampton age 73 of Dardanelle died Saturday, December 17 at the River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle. He was born June 15, 1938 in Porum, Oklahoma to the late Delton and Tina Mason Hampton. He was an Army veteran and a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by two brothers, L.D. Hampton, Woodrow Hampton and a sister, Anna Mae Hampton. Survivors include his wife, Vernelle Hampton, son, Kevin Hampton of Knoxville, AR, brothers, R.W. Hampton of Oklahoma, Phillip Hampton of Dardanelle, sisters, Dorothy Davidson and Wanda Grable of California and Ina Faye Brewer and Freda Hampton of Dardanelle and three grandchildren.
