Robert "Bob" Joe Berry, 85 of Delaware, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab. He was born March 12, 1929, in New Blaine, Arkansas to the late Oscar William and Rosa Lea Black Berry. He was a member of the Dardanelle Missionary Baptist Church and U.S. Air Force Veteran. Bob loved gardening and playing music. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Jean Berry; parents; daughter, Doreen Swatzel; granddaughter, Amanda Berry; a brother, Boots Berry; five sisters, Hazel Wood, Mary Humphrey, Rena Harz, Flora Berry, Barbara Cossey. Survivors include three children, Darrell Berry and wife Evelyn, Dennis Berry, Donna Eubanks and husband Ken, all of Delaware; six grandchildren, Aaron Swatzel and Wendy Anderson of Delaware, Ryan Swatzel and wife Stephanie of Subiaco, Kristin Turnbow and husband Barry of Centerville, Angie Wallis and husband Shayne of Atkins, Ashley Thurman and husband Jesse of Conway, and Jennifer Berry of Russellville; eight great-grandchildren, Peyton Bowman, Tyler Turnbow, Lidiya Jones, Breckin Jones, Caydlyn Wallis, McKenzie Wallis, Avery Swatzel, and Gunnar Swatzel. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Dardanelle Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Tom McElmurry and Brother Leonard Moses. A private burial will be held at Elizabeth Hall Cemetery, Delaware. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. before the service at the church. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle.
