Robert James Scoggins age 85 of Chickalah Mountain passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Chambers Memorial Hospital.

Robert was born September 23, 1937 in Dallas, Texas to the late Malcom & Elizabeth Belle Hawkins Scoggins. He was a Navy Veteran, 50 year Mason member of the Belleville Christian Lodge #394, and he retired from Dow Chemical.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 59 years, Lavernia Fae Scoggins; siblings, Mary Frances Whittington, James Malcom (Junior) Scoggins, Fay Stember, Betty Jean Scoggins and LaNell Hunger.

Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Mike and Sandi Scoggins of Danville; brother, Jerry Donnie & Bea Scoggins of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandson, Chaz Scoggins of Norfolk, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Ryland & Kaia Scoggins.

Memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 16, 2022 at Mt. Springs Cemetery with Military Honors and Masonic Rites.
