Obituary

Romelia Viviene Felker, 93, of Fort Smith, AR passed peacefully from this earth to a new life in heaven on June 18th, 2015 in Fort Smith, AR. She was born in Fort Worth, TX on June 13, 1922, the third of eight children. Roe was a loving wife and mother and a good Christian woman. After retirement she and her husband Vernon lived near Lake Nimrod where together they enjoyed crappie fishing and their annual vegetable garden. She also was a very good artist who enjoyed oil painting and making painted crafts of all types, winning a number of awards. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Vernon Clisto Felker, her parents Raymond and Bethine (Hurst) Bryant, three brothers and one sister. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Gary Felker (Joy) of Fort Smith, AR and Richard Felker of Fort Lauderdale, FL.; three grandchildren, Dr. Michael Felker (Claire) of Chapel Hill, N.C., Michelle Rendleman of (Ryan) of Dallas, TX and Kyle Felker (Jenny) of Allen, TX; six great grandchildren, Alex, William, Jack, Caroline, Madison and Calvin; and three sisters, Maxine Bird of Oklahoma City, OK, Hattie Jones of Crowley, TX and Effie Bing of fort Worth, TX. Family graveside services will be held at Carter Cove Cemetery in Plainview, AR on Saturday 6/20/15 at 2:00 PM.
