Rosalie Jeanette
Sprafke
May 20, 1926 – February 13, 2021
On February 13, 2021, our Mother Rosalie Sprafke left this life and began a greater eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
To describe the special woman that our Mom was will take an entire book. I will tell you some of the highlights in her life. Rosalie never knew a stranger, she loved all people. She was the most caring human being I have ever known. She never judged anyone in her entire life. She carried the love of God deep in her heart, and shared it with everyone. Besides being kind, her generosity made her the go to person for anyone in need. We will continue to carry her memory in our hearts for the rest of our entire lives.
Rosalie was born May 20, 1926 in the community of Pine River, Wisconsin to Ervin and Anna Gruetzmacher. She was born into a farm family of six children, three brothers, and two sisters, of which have all proceeded her in death. She married Samuel E. Sprafke, a United States WWII Veteran, they had four children. Samuel A. Sprafke (Monica) of Pottsville Arkansas, Susanne Watson (Dean) of Bella Vista Arkansas, Robert Sprafke (Sandra) of Russellville Arkansas, and William Sprafke (Theresa) of Bismark Arkansas. She also had five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of Saint Johns Lutheran Church in Russellville, Arkansas, as well as a longtime member of the International Lutheran Women's Missionary League She was a member and the Recording Secretary for the Disabled American Veterans Auxillary of Russellville. She served her community and surrounding areas with her endless talent for repairing anything she was asked to repair in her little shop in Pottsville, Arkansas. She has been and will be sadly missed by her family and her community.
The family would also like to recognize the Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation's Nurses and Staff for the devotion and the care they have given to our Mother over the last few years.
