In Loving Memory of Rosean Therese Koch
Rosean Therese Koch was born on December 5, 1961, in Pierre Part, Louisiana. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose sweet disposition and beautiful smile left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Rosean grew up in Louisiana, a place that always held a special place in her heart. She continued to visit several times a year, staying connected to her roots and the people and places she loved.
On July 1, 1995, Rosean married the love of her life, William “Bill” Koch. Their marriage was built on love, devotion, and a lifetime of cherished memories. Following Rosean’s diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease, Bill lovingly and faithfully cared for her, demonstrating the depth of his devotion and the true meaning of love through every season of their journey together.
Rosean was a devoted mother who loved her children dearly, but becoming a grandmother was one of her greatest joys and accomplishments. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held an especially precious place in her heart, and she was immensely proud of her growing family. She treasured the time spent with those she loved and shared a special bond with her nieces and nephews, whom she adored.
Rosean was known throughout her community and workplace for her warm smile, kind heart, and sweet disposition. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Booneville, Arkansas, where she served her church and community. One of her favorite activities was making crafts for Vacation Bible School, sharing her creativity and love with the children and families around her.
She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, including tending to her flower beds, feeding the birds, and caring for animals. She had a special love for all animals, especially her beloved dogs, Sadie and the late Izzy. Rosean was always ready for a camping trip or a yard sale adventure with Bill, making memories in the everyday moments that meant so much.
Rosean dedicated thirty-nine years of service to Wayne Farms before retiring. Through her years of hard work, she built lasting relationships and left her mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Though Parkinson’s disease became part of her journey, it did not define the woman she was. Rosean will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering love for her family, her faith, and the kindness she extended to others. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the memories she created, and the countless lives made brighter by her presence. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Rosean is survived by her loving husband, William “Bill” Allen Koch; her mother, Shirleen Hue of Pierre Part, Louisiana; her children, Erica Boudreaux, Jessica (John) Riedel, Bridget (Josh) Mabile, and Wayne (Amanda) VanPelt; her grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey (Tyler), Savannah (Jude), Joey, Morgan, Noelia, Braelyn, Olivia, Seth, and Allie; and her great-grandchildren, Hudson and Holdyn.
She is also survived by her siblings, Sharon (Blake) Landry, Lisa (Jeremy) Crochet; brother in-law Lucious (Debbie) Koch Jr; her stepsiblings, Nelson, Mark, Jesse, and Mike; her godchild, Brandy Castagnos; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph John Landry; her stepfather, Jimmy Hue; her grandparents, Rose and Claude Blanchard and Joseph and Cedilla Landry; and her parents-in-law, Lucious and Jane Koch; brother in-law David Wayne Koch.
Rosean’s life was a testament to love, faith, family, and the beauty of a kind heart. While her loved ones will miss her smile, her laughter, and her gentle presence, they can find comfort in knowing that the love she gave will continue to live on through the generations she leaves behind.
