Roy Lee Underwood, age 81, died September 23, 2017, at Chambers Memorial Hospital.

He was born August 5, 1936, to Tolbert and Dolly Shockley Underwood at Mt. George. He was retired from Wayne Farms in Danville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vela, and sister Georgeann Gist.

He is survived by his daughters, Beverly Bratton (Jackie), Cindy Shingleur (Garry); grandchildren, Kylie Duncan, Ryan Davis, Sara Ihde, and Katie Shingleur; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Wyatt, Maycie, Claire and Maverick; brothers, Bob Underwood (Becky), Wayne Underwood (Judy); sisters, Jewel House, Effie Catlett, Eulene Brown, and Carolyn Marenic (Lee).

A memorial service will be October 7, 2017, at 10am, at the Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle.
