Russell Mashburn Russell Wesley Mashburn age 81 of Mt. George died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born June 16, 1931 at Cardon Bottoms to Roger Wesley and Zola Crow Mashburn. He was a Southern Baptist and a member of the branded By Christ Church, a former employee of Winrock Farms, Universal Housing and Tyson River Valley Maintenance. He was a member of the Army National Guard for 8 years, a former member of the Galla Rock Fire Department. He loved the Chuck Wagon Races and anything that dealt with horses. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wade Mashburn and Gilbert Mashburn; four sisters, Reba Alexander, Naomi Johnson, Virginia Kinser, Wanda Thone. Survivors include his wife Freeda Mashburn of Mt. George; four children, Rusty Mashburn and wife Regina of Little Rock, Ricky Mashburn of Pottsville, Regina Mashburn Tucker of Dardanelle, Ronda Ridenour and husband James of Belleville; two brothers, Gilroy Mashburn of California, Donald Mashburn and wife Betty of Little Rock; five grandchildren, Mandy Carmack and husband Geof, Jennifer Shultz and husband Ryan all of Little Rock, Brittany Hodges, Colt Ridenour both of Belleville, Adam Tucker of Dardanelle; five great grandchildren, Lauren and Grace Carmack, Mack, Maggie and Mason Shultz all of Little Rock and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Joe Yates and Bro. Josh Crites officiating. Burial will be in New Hope cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. in the chapel. Pallbearers: Ronnie Awalt, Adam Tucker, Tim Muncy, Nathan Snyder, Brian Pipes, Greg Bartlett and Colt Ridenour. Honorary Pallbearers: Lynn Young , Jason Gibson, Billy Joe Kisling, Larry Ewing, Cody Russell Young, Lelon Carter, Bradley Burnett, Brent Burnett and Nick Metcalf.
