Ruth Alene Bland age 91 of Dardanelle died Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Legacy Heights in Russellville. She was born February 18, 1927 at Clifty, Arkansas to the late James Arthur and Myrtle Lynch Vaughan. She was a member of the River Park Church of Christ and she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dorman Bland and two sons, Michael Bland and Dennis Bland.

Survivors include her children, Teresa Bland of Dardanelle, Lea Ann Woods and husband Jerry Don of Dardanelle; daughter-in-law, Mary Jean Bland of New York; one brother, Jim Vaughn and wife Rita of Springfield, MO; one sister, Helen Glenn of Riverside, California; granddaughters, Nikki Sandlin and Husband John, Natalie Earnest and husband Don, Sarah Heil and husband Scott; grandson, Matthew Bland and wife Sarah; great grandchildren, Jake and Rhett Sandlin, Hattie, Sam, and Gracie Tarte, Logan Heil and bonus greats, Linsey Earnest, Emily Earnest, Elizabeth Earnest and extended family, Dora Casas and children, Pedro, Jessie and Rita and their children.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at River Park Church of Christ with Jerry Don Woods officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00P.M to 8:00P.M. at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle.

Pallbearers will be Clay Mitchell, Justin Crowe, Zac Wesley, John Sandlin, Don Earnest, Roger Love, Matt Crowe, Jake Sandlin, Rhett Sandlin, and Sam Tarte.
