Ruth "Granny" Irene Chambers age 96 of Havana passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Mitchell's Nursing Home.

She was born September 25, 1923 in Havana, Arkansas to the late William Jess & Evy Delilah Cherry Swaim. She was a member of the Havana First Baptist Church. She retired after 23 years from Wayne Farms, and she was a senior companion for Area Agency on Aging for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Glen "Red" Chambers, sons, Steven Joel, and Harold "Keith" Chambers; sisters, Pauline Greenfield and Ozell Apple; brothers, Billy Swaim and Curmit Swaim; granddaughter, Sonya Kaye Jones.

Survivors include her children, Phyllis & Harper Fredrick of Waveland; Sharon Lambert of Waveland; Larry & Betty Chambers of Eagle River, Alaska; Robert & Jacque Chambers of Paris; Ronald & Shelly Chambers of Booneville; John & Darlene Chambers of Booneville; daughter-in-law, Debbie Chambers of Ratcliff; sister, Maggie Sue Chambers of Havana; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Funeral service will be 2:30 pm Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Havana First Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Lane officiating. Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:30 before the service at the church. Burial will be at Moore's Chapel Cemetery.
