Ruth E. (Inman) Richards age 100 went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 25th at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville, AR. surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth was born February 14, 1924 to the late Andy Andrew Inman and Alma Eletha Hampton Inman. She was raised in Danville but always knew that she would be part of the exciting world of aviation. As a flight attendant on TWA she started flying on DC3s in 1938. She flew both within the US and on trans-continental flights. She knew the risks of flying the polar flights so she memorized scriptures to help comfort the passengers if the need arose. Her favorite chapter was Psalm 91 which she could still quote when she was 100. She spent her life traveling to different countries, going to plays, antique shopping and meeting people. Her greatest talent was making people feel comfortable. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and making others laugh. Later in life she retired from flying and volunteered at the Haog Presbyterian Hospital and she cooked at the homeless shelter. She use to model and then organized models for fashion shows. She loved to go to Hawaii every year for a week or a month.
Ruth moved from California, back to her roots in Danville in 2013 where she volunteered at the Leon Millsap Center. She attended First Baptist Church because she gave her heart to Jesus as a young girl. In 2018 she moved into Mitchell's Nursing Home and made many friends with the residents and nurses.
She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings:
Brothers and their wives: Lemuel F Inman (Ruby Grist Inman), David W Inman (Lattie Adair Inman), Robert (Bob) Inman (Retha Ward Inman) Paul T Inman, Luther Daniel (L.D.) Inman, and Leon Glendon (Glen) Inman ( Melba Wallace Inman) .
