Ruth Lee Smith age 69 of Dardanelle died Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Sparks Regional Medical Center. She was born December 13, 1946 at Russellville to Charley Kubat and Ruth Bratton. She was a long time member of the Pope county marine rescue auxiliary. Ruth and Kenneth were gate keepers for the Corp of Engineers at Piney Bay Recreational area. She was preceded in death by her Fathers, Charley Kubat and Edward Prochazka.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth L. Smith of Dardanelle; mother, Ruth Prochazka of Dardanelle, one daughter, Patricia Holiman (David)of Dardanelle; one son, Glen Allen Haney (Dawn) of Ola; four grandchildren, Tiffany Hogrefe (Jeff) of Atkins, Tyler Haney (Ashley) of Dardanelle, Maranda Mashburn (Wade) and Morgan McConnell (John) all of Birta; three great grandchildren, Anden Haney, Josh and Jordan Hogrefe; step children, Melanie Youngblood, Regina Lawson; step grandchildren, Courtney Youngblood, Mary and Katie Hefley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle. Burial will be at Brearley Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Hogrefe, Wade Mashburn, John McConnell, David Smith, Larry Hutchins, Tyler Haney.

Honorary Pallbearer will be David Sponel
