Sammy Ray Via age 71 of Ola, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Mitchell's Nursing Center. He was born September 6, 1954 in Gary, Indiana to the late Donald Tom Via and Wilma Faye Hance Via. Sammy loved cars and going to the horse races. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his three children, Kimberly Via (David Hughes), Michael Paul Via, Donnie Via (Vicki); one sister, Donna Walker (Bud); two brothers, Ricky Via (Nancy), Doug Via (Deana); four grandchildren, Justin King, Makayla Via, Jayden Via, Maecy Via; two great grandchildren, Linkon Via, Kobe Via and one on the way.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, 9:30A.M. to 10:00A.M. at Birta Cemetery. Graveside service will follow at 10:00A.M. at Birta Cemetery with Bro. Shane Chancellor officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Ross, Ed Hays, Dusty Lynch, Connor Collier, Jimmy Paul Treadwell and Shane McCullar.
