Obituary

Samuel Elton "Red" Huddleston age 90 of Russellville died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born March 27, 1921 at Carden Bottoms to the late Jackson and Modean Smathers Huddleston. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII, where he served in the South Pacific. He was a farmer and also loved refurbishing old cars. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bob Barrett, Jack Huddleston, and Earnest "Rooster" Huddleston. Survivors include his partner of 41 years, Jo Ann Huddleston of Russellville; three children, Ron Huddleston and wife Elaine of Berryville, Diane Collier and husband Jim of Heath, Texas, Tracey Bishop of North Little Rock; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:00A.M., Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Steve Payton officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Pallbearers: Kevin Huddleston, Justin Williamson, Sean Austin, Jayson Huddleston.
