Obituary


Shirley Kathryn Simmons-Fraser age 83 passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at her home in Dardanelle. She was Born November 7, 1936 in Yell County to George Washington and Vella Kathryn Duvall- Simmons. She was a member of the Pine Hill Community Church and Robinson Point Full Gospel Church. Shirley worked for Tyson Tyler Road for 36 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 40 years; Lamar Franklin Fraser, one sister; Ollie Gene Lewallen, one half brother, George Simmons, one half sister; Kitty Farmer, one daughter; Freda Suzetta Herrera, one great grandson; Ryder Ray Norris and one step great grandson; Lane Laymon.

Survivors include her two children; one daughter Mary White (Mark) of London, Arkansas and one son Bob Fraser (Jean) of Dardanelle, two sisters; Opal Hartwick of Atkins, Arkansas, Bernell Cross of Russeville, Arkansas; two brothers; George (Junior) Simmons of Russellville, Arkansas and J. M. Simmons of Russellville, Arkansas, four grandchildren; Michael Fraser (Misty) of Dardanelle, Arkansas, Dusty Norris (Jackie) of Dardanelle, Arkansas, Misty Vines (Adam) of Pottsville, Arkansas, Savannah Herrera of Cave Springs, Arkansas, one step grandson; Matthew White of Dover, Arkansas, one step granddaughter; Summer Proctor of Dover, Arkansas, eight great grandchildren; Hannah and Alex Fraser, Eli, Eurijah and Evie Norris all from Dardanelle, Arkansas, Jacey, Logan and Mason Vines of Pottsville, Arkansas, three step great great grandchildren; Austin Proctor, Chastine Proctor and Alura-Dannah Laymon, four great great great grandchildren; Belle, Noel, Jacob Lane and Isacc Ray Proctor.

Visitation will be held from 5:00P.M.-7:00P.M., Wednesday, August 19, 2020.
Services will be August 20, 2020 at 2:00P.M. at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle.
