Obituary

Stacy Jolynda Stoddard Wallace left us for the upper room on December 31, 2023.  She leaves a legacy of caring and giving in her wake  in the family that she raised.  She was a Licensed Practical Nurse by profession who cared for the elderly until she retired from that profession.  She was a deeply loving caring person to those who were close to her.  She was known professionally as Stacy but to her family we called Jolynda, Jo Mo, Tia Jo and most important to her were Mom and Nan.  She was a loving granddaughter, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, auntie, wife and friend.  She was a hard worker and spoiled all of her family, her beloveds she gathered around her in her life, her motto was Nan's the name and spoiling is my game.  She was generous to a fault and quite tenacious.  She was the little engine that could all of the time.  Coming from humble beginnings she educated herself and found her calling as a nurse. But she was most known for her cooking as she worked as a cook in many historic restaurants in the Russellville area, before she became a nurse.  She was brilliant and put her whole self into whatever she put her mind to.  She remained very humble in her life and how she treated people.  She did not put herself above anyone and treated folks with dignity and respect.  She was well traveled and lived on both the east and west coast and traveled the world. She came back to the Russellville to care for her beloved grandmother and met her beloved husband Bob and became the anchor of her family there. She was incredibly funny and could tell you a story, just about her day and keep you in stitches. She was a very good and loyal friend, and she could pull you out of the doldrums of life with just her sweet and beautiful dimpled smile. She was adventurous and sometime like a babe in the woods.  She had an innocent wonder about her and her outlook on life.  She was deeply kind and genuine, you always would know where you stood with her.  If she loved you, you would know it, because she would tell you, so even if she was mad at you, she would still make it clear that she loved you. She is survived by her husband Robert J. Wallace and her two children Stacey Lynn and William Calvin, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, her 2 sisters Rebecca and Jennifer and her brother JoMichael, several nieces and nephews and a host of dear loyal friends, she was preceded in death by her grandmother Rose and her mother Gayle and her sister Susan.  She will be very fondly and lovingly remembered and deeply and sorely missed.
